Richard Otto is a multi-faceted life science executive with decades of experience in big pharma and CEO experience of public medical device companies. Throughout his career, Richard has raised over $100MM of capital and founded a senior management consulting firm focused on the life sciences.

Richard has experience in managing all aspects of a corporation to create value for all stakeholders; reversing negative sales trends, budget efficiency, shareholder communications, license and patents, product development and regulatory compliance.

As a specialist in cardiovascular, gene therapy, cryotherapy, health IT and turnarounds, he brings a proven track record of commercialization to the IGNITE Network and the IGNITE Advisory Group.

Taking the company he co-founded, specializing in cryotherapy medical equipment, to exit in six years
Resolving capital and compliance issues, initiating P3 clinical trial across 30+ cardiology centers and raising $75MM in public financing for distressed public biotech company
Launching the world’s largest FDA approved intra-cardiac gene therapy trial for ischemic cardiac disease in 31 U.S. cardiology centers
Providing counsel at the senior management and board level to Endeavor Technologies, during merger with Healthion, becoming WebMD
Serving as CEO of a Healthcare IT company; responsible for significant reorganization prior to Series B fundraise and establishing collaborative partnership with Fortune 500 organization – growing sales by 25% in first year alone
Obtaining FDA and CE mark regulatory approval for non-invasive medical device, taking product to market internationally and thereby increasing market capitalization by 20x
Introducing the world’s first programmable cardiac pacemaker and dual chamber devices to key customer base and providing counsel to physicians during implant procedure
