William Knab is a medical device executive, who has spent 20 years with multiple fortune 500 Global Device companies and a further 12 years with early stage companies and start-ups. With over 30 years of such varied medical device product development, marketing, and business leadership experience, he brings invaluable expertise to the IGNITE Network and the IGNITE Advisory Group.

Bill has led teams that introduced three new to the world devices in Hemodialysis, Blood Processing and Liver Support. He has driven successful new business ventures at Baxter International, Haemonetics, Medisystems and multiple successful start-ups, including HemoCleanse and Renal Solutions.

Establishing a new division, which grew into a $150MM business within 5 years, for a Fortune 500 company
Authoring Business Plans, Product Development Strategies and Regulatory Strategies for several successful early-stage start-ups
Securing $29MM in Venture funding for startup companies
Implementing 2 complete FDA/CE compliant Quality Systems
Developing manufacturing process systems and supply chain logistics for early-stage companies

Bill Knab

Bill has an MBA in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, from Western Michigan University. He also completed post graduate work in Bioengineering at the University of Utah. Alongside these educational achievements, Bill has also received Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC-US) from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
